Capriccio Stravagante

Here is presented a varied program with the title from Farina "Capriccio stravagante".

The choice of repertoire for this concert is based Authentias own work with young students. The struggle between generations and between old and new is a theme that greatly concerns us. To rehearse works from a noble, classical tradition and simultaneously perform music that springs out of a border seeking historical period, enhances the understanding and indlevningsevnen among young people.
In the early Baroque composers constantly looking for new tools and effects that can describe everything from deep feelings for different members of the animal kingdom.

We have selected some dance rates fine form impressions of various characters one should master.

Giuseppe Sammartini was a famous oboist, who also composed, and his music for particular recorder are played all over the world. His career led him to recruit the Prince of Wales. Concerto for recorder contains beautiful motifs and themes, and stands as a beautiful example of højbarokkens melodic style.

Farina has in his Capriccio stravagante added subtitles for the musicians, where they imitate various instruments such as, turning Lit, trumpet, castanets, Tamborine, Spanish guitar, flute soldiers but also expensive as cat, dog and chicken.

Even the sound of a sword that swung through the air in the duel is part of the piece.

Sometimes during the Chr 4 was extremely exciting year for music in Denmark. The king was very music interested, and fully aware of the importance of having important musicians employed at his court.
